About the role

Qontak by Mekari is Indonesia’s leading omnichannel customer engagement platform, helping thousands of businesses run sales, support, and marketing conversations across WhatsApp and every major messaging channel. Our product surfaces span the full customer engagement journey — from conversation and campaign tooling to CRM, automation, and the AI capabilities now reshaping how all of it works — and each is a significant driver of platform revenue and usage.

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to own a product domain end to end. This is a senior IC role with real weight: you will be the single product owner for your domain, responsible not only for what ships next quarter but for where it goes over the next two years — including how it evolves as AI changes what’s possible. You will lead through influence, evidence, and craft rather than through direct reports. (The specific domain will be confirmed with you during the hiring process, based on business need and where your strengths are the best fit.)

What you will own

• Discovery — Continuous customer conversations, market and competitive signal, and relevant ecosystem/channel-partner developments that shape where your domain must go.

• Strategy — A clear, defensible point of view on the strategic direction of your domain — a roadmap you can argue from evidence, with prioritization calls you own and can explain.

• Delivery — High-quality PRDs and specs; day-to-day partnership with engineering and design to ship reliably and at the right quality bar.

• Launch — Go-to-market alignment with marketing, sales, and customer success; launch execution and adoption tracking against explicit predictions.

• Health — Deliverability, quality, defects, and support load for the domain — knowing about problems before they escalate, not after.

• Leverage — Systems, documentation, and enablement that make other teams effective on your domain without you in the room — the work that scales you.

What operating at this level means here

We hold Senior PMs to a bar that goes beyond running a surface well. In this role, we expect that within your first year:

• Your insights travel beyond your own surface — what you learn from your customers and data visibly informs product strategy in adjacent areas of the platform.

• Your execution raises the bar for others — the way you run discovery, write specs, and close the loop on launches becomes a norm other PMs adopt.

• Your outcomes change the trajectory of the product line — measurable movement on revenue, adoption, and retention for your domain, not just a stream of shipped features.

• You lead the domain rather than maintain it — you propose things leadership hasn’t asked for, other teams consult you before touching the domain, and when asked “what’s next?” you have a thesis, with evidence.

What we are looking for

• 5+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS, with at least 2 years owning a revenue-carrying product area end to end.

• A track record of outcomes you can walk us through: decisions you made, the evidence behind them, what you predicted, and what actually happened.

• Strong analytical fluency — comfortable defining metrics, interrogating funnel and cohort data, and building a business case without an analyst on standby.

• Demonstrated ability to lead without authority: aligning engineering, design, GTM, and leadership around a direction they did not start out agreeing on.

• Crisp written communication — your specs, strategy docs, and launch notes should be evidence of this on their own.

Nice to have

• Experience with messaging, CRM, customer engagement, or workflow/automation products; familiarity with the WhatsApp Business API / Meta ecosystem is a strong plus.

• Experience applying AI/LLM capabilities to an existing product surface — or a sharp view on how AI reshapes your domain.

• Experience operating as the solo PM for a domain, balancing discovery and leverage work against delivery pressure.
