Job Description:

• Understanding of data modeling concepts and database design (e.g., dimensional modeling, normalization/denormalization)
• Implementing Change Data Capture (CDC) pipelines, particularly using tools such as Debezium, Kafka Connect, Flink or equivalent
• Programming with Python, and writing optimized SQL for large-scale data processing
• Writing clean and maintainable code
  • Version control with Git
  • Performing code reviews
  • Implementing unit and integration tests
  • Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • CI/CD pipelines for deployment and automation

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics or a related technical field
• 2+ years experience, with proven industry experience in data engineering or software engineering roles
• Hands-on experience with data engineering tools such as Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, and Apache Airflow (or similar orchestration tools)
• Familiar with containerized and container orchestration such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Solid understanding of software engineering best practices
• Familiar with cloud-based big data ecosystems, particularly:
  
  • AWS (e.g., EMR, Glue, Athena, Redshift)
  • Google Cloud Platform (e.g., BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc)
