The role of PR Brand & Communication Specialist serves an important part in maximizing Mekari marketing activities.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor endemic and non-endemic industry trends for opportunities for our Spokesperson to provide insights and recommendations
  • Develop and execute an effective endemic and non-endemic media relations approach for our brand and product
  • Work with online and offline activation teams to leverage Mekari awarnessManage the media targets across channels, company information, and the distribution our all external materials
  • Develop brand media kits, information packs, white papers, and other company materials pertaining to outreach efforts
  • Own and manage our Newsroom platform for press releases, articles, media kits, and additional assets for our media partners. Manages the look and feel to ensure all information, content, and branding is consistent, relevant, and up-to-date
  • Maintains all media contacts and distribution listsWrite and publish press releases, articles, white papers, and blog posts where appropriate and with the support of additional teams
  • Constantly look to better ways of working with media to serve them with effective and insightful company content

 

Requirements:

  • BA degree in Brand Communications, Media Relations or similar preferred
  • 2-3 years of experience in public/media relations, corporate communications, brand communications via agency or client-side
  • Experience working with executive-level personnel
  • Excellent verbal, visual/presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent creative and technical writing and editing skills.
  • Comfortable in corporate relations and product areas; creating promotional materials including press releases, news briefings, pitch documents, and long-form content
  • Exceptional presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated experience presenting plans, strategies, and results internally and to Executive audiences
  • Proven results-oriented promotional skills and media relations success
  • Primarily start-up environment Ability to work extended hours/weekends as needed.* Frequent domestic travel & occasional international travel required
